EuroVelo 12 - North Sea Cycle Route in France follows the same itinerary as EuroVelo 4 - Central Europe Route, from the Belgian border to Calais, where you can catch a ferry to the United Kingdom. When cycling along the coast do not miss Dunkirk (Dunkerque), a coastal city famous for its beaches and for the Battle of Dunkirk during World War II.
