Bulgaria

Bulgaria is one of the least visited cycling destinations in Europe due to its distance from western Europe, but the cycle tourists that do venture there will discover a beautiful country perfect for cycle touring. There are mountains, lakes and rivers with untouched beauty to discover while cycling. The Bulgarian Black Sea coast, with forests and mountains reaching down to inviting beaches, is a perfect start or end point for a cycling trip. Cycling in Bulgaria is never boring - there are numerous possibilities to combine it with cultural and historical sights, wine-tasting or culinary tourism, not to forget the rose valleys where each year in May tourists may try to pick up roses for the production of rose oil!

We do not have an official National EuroVelo Coordination Centre or Coordinator in this country at the moment. To assist people wanting to cycle the EuroVelo routes we have collected the information displayed on this page but please be aware that the ECF is not responsible for this content.
