Danube Delta by Bike and Boat

The Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve is included in the UNESCO World Heritage and it is probably the wildest territory in Europe. More than half of its territory is still intact, with difficult access for visitors. It is the 3rd largest Biosphere Reserve in the world and hosts more than 5,500 species of flora and fauna. The Danube Delta is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts and those who enjoy wildlife photography. Close to the Danube Delta is the old region of Dobrogea, hosting the oldest mountains in Europe – Macin. Dobrogea is hosting a mosaic of culture and civilization, as this place has been visited throughout the ages by Greeks, Romans, Turks, Russians, Tatars, Italians, and other civilizations. Visiting the Dobrogea region and the Danube Delta should be a unique experience in Europe for a tourist. Our trip occurs in spring and autumn – the best season for visiting the place. Our hosts are local families living in fishermen villages, cooking for us and leading us with their boats in the heart of this unknown place.
