The Via Turonensis is a historical pilgrims route from Paris to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, a town on the French/Spanish border. Traversing almost the entirety of France from North to South, The Via Turonensis (or Way of Tours) is the Latin name of one of the four paths of the French Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle pilgrimage routes: the northernmost of these paths. It starts from the Saint-Jacques tower in Paris, then crosses Orleans, Tours, Poitiers, Angoulême and Bordeaux. Make sure to keep some free time to visit these fascinating cities along the way!
