Then head toward the coast to cycle the 98 km of the Curonian Spit, a long, thin, curved sand-dune spit that separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea coast. This incredibly beautiful area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site shared by Lithuania and the Kaliningrad Oblast in Russia.
