Following EuroVelo 4 - Central Europe Route, the North Sea wind will gently push you through the Flemish countryside. Known as LF1, let the itinerary lead you through this flat landscape, where cycling truely is a delightful experience for all the family. While there is short section located directly on the Belgian coastline and featuring the coastal resort of Oostende, the route is largely located slightly inland and it passes some charming towns and villages as well as the major tourist attraction of Bruges. In the Westhoek area, you land in the elegant town of Veurne and in Nieuwpoort, where you can visit the King Albert Monument, commemorating a major incident during the First World War.
