The most westerly stage of EuroVelo 8 incorporates many of the features that make the whole route so inviting: stunning scenery, historic towns and cities, delicious local food and drink and colourful festivals, most of this stage is located in the region of Andalucía. Visit Cádiz, the oldest continuously inhabited city in Spain, or The UNESCO World Heritage listed Alhambra in Grenada. Pass the birth place of Picasso, or see the Moorish castles of Almeria or indeed take a detour to Cabo de Gata. The stage ends in Murcia, with an abundance of ancient history.
