While ECF and National EuroVelo Coordination Centers and Coordinators (NECCs) make every effort to ensure the tracks and their levels of development are both current and accurate, errors or outdated information can occur. The user is fully responsible for his or her own safety when making use of the tracks and for following national traffic rules and signing.

The BALM is the is the first point of contact for a lot of questions referring to the funding and the promotion of bicycle traffic. Thus, the BALM makes an essential contribution to the sustainable shaping of a safe, environmentally suitable mobility and to the accomplishment of the climate protection goals in the area of mobility. The Cycle Network Germany office at BALM is the project organiser for the German national cycle network. Danish Cycling Tourism is a non-profit association of public and private partners. Its main purpose is to develop and promote recreational cycling in Denmark. Since 2016, it has served as the national EuroVelo Coordination Centre for Denmark, and as of 2023, it will host the official online platform for the national cycling routes as well as the EuroVelo routes in the country.

The official handbook for the Elbe Cycle Route is a cycling tour book that offers a lot of useful information on the long-distance cycle route. Among other things, cyclists will find information on accommodations, sights and cyclist-friendly service facilities along the route. In addition, there are maps showing the course of the route. The handbook can be downloaded as a PDF or ordered as a printed version.
