In Czechia, you can spend two amazing weeks cycling along the 800 km long stretch of the Iron Curtain Trail on the borders with Germany and Austria. The route is fully signposted and allows visitors to learn about Czechia’s rich culture, unspoiled nature and the different power-struggles that have taken place in Central European history. In many sections, the Iron Curtain Trail in Czechia uses the former military road that was built along the entire communist border in the 1950s and 1960s and it is currently traffic free. Along the way you will find historic museums, monuments and other landmarks connected to the Cold War period.
